GFWC Mechanicsburg Project for Speranza Animal Rescue

We have the following request from the Speranza Animal Rescue:

Speranza receives blankets, bedspreads and towels for the dogs to have in their pens.  Towels can be washed, but the bedspreads and some blankets are too large for their laundry and after one use, the items have to tossed.

They are asking if we would take the clean bedspreads and blankets when they come in and cut them down to a size that fits in the laundry.  Three or four pieces depending on the size of the donation.  We would have to sew the edges so the stuffing does not come out.

If we participate in this service project, we would be featured on their website with pictures and praise.  Speranza is now nationwide so we would be reaching local and more.  This would be good advertisement for GFWC Mechanicsburg. Shirley Barnes will chair this project.
