GFWC Mechanicsburg is currently working on the GFWC Pennsylvania President's Project 

Heart, Mind, Spirit: Mental Health Awareness with an objective to bring awareness and understanding of mental health not only in our own lives, but to those we strive to help within our communities.

We are also continuing support of Veterans Outreach of Pennsylvania to supply their Veterans Grove of 15 tiny homes with bed linens, pillows, towels, etc. These homes are for homeless Veterans in our area. We will continue to replenish these supplies as needed.

The GFWC PA South Central District Meeting will be on Saturday-, March 8, 2025 at Brothers Family Dining with registration at 9:00 AM and Call to Order at 9:30 AM. $5 registration fee. Please notify the treasurer before Feb. 24th if you plan to attend. 

Art entries will be displayed. Speaker will be Jenn Daggs from Yellow Breeches Educational Center. Reports by State and District Officers, Reports by Club Presidents, District Arts Scholarship presentation, Assemble washcloth bears for NAMI. Support the educational center by bringing school supplies.

Tuesday Mornings, 10:00 am Tea & Stitches at the new Learning Center (formerly Agway)

Tuesday mornings don't have to be dreary! Join us every Tuesday from 10:00 - 12:00 am to enjoy a nice cup of tea and work on your stitching project - crochet, knitting, cross-stitch, embroidery - all are welcome! Meet other stitching enthusiasts and learn from one another.

BOOK SALES

The Friends of the Jospeh T. Simpson Public Library book sale at the Learning and Book Sale Center, 28 Allen Street.

April 25-27, 2025. Members only preview from 6-8-pm the night before the regular sale. Saturday hours 9 am to 2 pm. Sunday "bag sale" hours and 1-3-pm -

$10 per bag - some restrictions apply. 

GFWC Mechanicsburg will continue collecting unsold books after the book sale to contribute to the Yellow Breeches Educational Center. Please meet at the sale site on Sunday at 3:05 PM to collect books. Please save any boxes that you can to put the books in. After the February sale we collected 593 books.
